ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Pierre Néron Beauclair founded the first sugar mill on his property around 1740. Three decades later, the settlement appeared to be prospering. It extended over some 160 ha and had a hundred slaves who were housed in huts located below the site.
The site is not permanently accessible to the public.
