The biggest aquarium in the Antilles

Day 2 offers an all-in-one excursion! Enjoy a look at underwater life throughout the Caribbean at one unique spot, with a visit to the Guadeloupe Aquarium. Ideally located in the Pointe-à-Pitre marina, its thirty tanks containing 450,000 liters of seawater comprise the largest aquarium in the Antilles, thanks to the diverse collection contained under its roof. With nearly 50 species of corals and more than a hundred species of fish and invertebrates, the Aquarium will introduce you to the wealth of marine life in the Caribbean. The Aquarium hosts and helps fund two organisations:· KARET, the only facility in the Lesser Antilles that cares for Guadeloupe sea turtles.· L’Ecole de la Mer, which teaches children about the marine environment.Practical info: 90 minutesContact: Aquarium de la Guadeloupe Place Créole, La Marina, 97190 Le GosierTel.: +590 (0)5 90 90 92 38E-mail: info@aquariumdelaguadeloupe.comWebsite: www.aquariumdelaguadeloupe.com
