SYMBOISE CARAÏBE - HIKING TO THE GALION'S WATERFALL AND THE VOLCANO OF THE CITERNE

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The trace of the Armistice is a mythical trace of Guadeloupe which will delight even the most experienced hikers! It allows to visit the Galion's waterfall (42 m high), the cloud forest, the sleeping volcano of the Cistern and the mules savanna which could offer a magnificent view on the Saintes and the Caribbean mountains...if we're lucky with the weather! But it is mainly for the path itself that is worth a look: we climb, often using our hands, through the thickets of altitude formed by the dense mountain bush in a "path" that can hardly be called like that! A true happiness for lovers of (wild) nature and thrills!

This loop is located in the heart of the National Park, starting from the yellow baths (upper side of Saint-Claude, which is also the departure for the Soufrière). It lasts about 3h30, with breaks every 20 min. It is classified difficult: you must be able to walk 3h on a relatively hilly terrain with a steep height and not present a major physical problem (breathing, balance, heart, etc).

Also note that with Yoann, your guide passionate with ecology, this trek has obtained the label "Esprit parc" awarded by the National Park of Guadeloupe.
