    Mémorial ACTe called MACTE

    A true cultural institution dedicated to the history, heritage and memory of the slave trade, the Mémorial ACTe known as the MACTE was inaugurated in May 2015. The MACTe is considered the most ambitious place of remembrance dedicated to slavery, bringing to life an intangible heritage. Named one of the best destinations of 2015 at the Seatrade Cruise Awards, a visit to the MACTe means discovering slavery from antiquity to the present day through the discovery of the 5 islands that make up the archipelago.
